Where Can I Serve?

Jesus told us, his disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of this church is our mission to the world. It begins in our own community, and spreads overseas to every nation. Church members are involved in a variety of ministries that make SBC what it is today.  There is always an opportunity for you to get involved in God’s plan for your life.  You are important to us.  We need you!

Sunday School

There are Sunday School classes for all ages at Sharon Baptist Church, and we would love to have your whole family join us each week at 10:45 a.m. to study God’s word.

Tupos Youth Group

Here at Sharon Baptist, we believe that the teen years are incredibly important in developing a solid Christ-centered life. There are opportunities for youth in grades 7-12 to be an active member of our church with activities that include: mission trips, camps, retreats, concerts, in-depth bible studies, & much more! Along with being engaged in our main morning & evening services, teenagers meet at 7:00 on Wednesdays for group study. We also provide what we like to call “teen time” at 5:45 before evening church during the school year & afterwards during the summer. We sure hope that if you have teenagers in your life you would give us an opportunity to be a part of theirs.

Children’s Ministry

If you have kids or are even thinking about having them, we want you to know about our children’s ministry. We believe wholeheartedly in what God’s word tell us, “Train up a child in the way he should go; and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” (Proverbs 22:6). From our nursery during the worship services to our AWANA classes on Wednesdays during the school years, we make a point to have bible-centered activities for your children throughout the whole year so that you know how truly important you and your little ones are to Sharon Baptist.

Prayer Warriors

Prayer cannot be overestimated. Prayer moves the hand of God. Our Church is a body of believers dependent upon prayer, and committed to God’s sovereignty. Each Sunday, before the evening service at 6:00pm, a team of volunteers is praying for all the cards received in the morning service, along with the ministry of the Word.  Each Wednesday, the church comes together for a special time of prayer and Bible study.  Are you a Prayer Warrior?

Choir/Special Singing

Music speaks to people in many different ways. A song can minister to a person when the spoken word cannot!  We have the best group of dedicated choir members. You should join us! You don’t have to be the best singer or musician, you just have to have a heart for ministering to people thru music!  God doesn’t call the qualified, He qualifies the called! He can use you as part of the music ministry!

Ushers

The usher team at our church fills an important role. They are involved in directing attendees to their seats, ensuring the safety of the building during services, guiding traffic, helping guests, answering questions, providing direction, and generally ensuring that the service can proceed problem-free. The usher team is a servant-hearted group whose ministry is integral to church life.
